Sleeping Pattern

Ever since I started working from home, I developed a nasty habit of staying up really late, and of course, I wake up sometime around noon, and I hate that! I’ve wasted half of daylight, and that usually makes me feel unproductive. And it turns into a vicious cycle where I end up going to bed at two or three o’ clock in the morning, not even feeling sleepy or tired. I just sit in bed, browsing Pinterest until I feel drowsy, but that’s not enough considering I stay awake for another hour or so… thinking, planning, coming up with ideas, or just recalling those couple of times when I wish I said something different, or thinking of somehow going back in time and undoing certain mistakes… It takes a while. And then I wake up at about six or seven in the morning, completely fresh, so I start browsing Pinterest again until I fall asleep till noon. Fantastic…

And you know what? Even if I make the gargantuan effort to stay awake from as early as 7 AM and then not needing to nap throughout the day, I still don’t feel like needing to go to bed earlier that 2 AM. WTF?! Oh, and by the way, in case you’re wondering, I don’t consume caffeine in any shape or form.
